THE FRAGILE GIFT

The Fragile Gift

In the quiet village of Mirrah, there lived a young man named Eron. Known for his intelligence and confidence, Eron believed that success was his birthright. One day, an old sage visited the village and gave each person a simple, unremarkable egg with a mysterious message:

"Life is a mirror, and it is also an egg. Handle it well, or it will handle you."

Most villagers thought it was a harmless gesture, but Eron dismissed it as nonsense. He kept the egg in his pocket without much care, laughing as others cautiously protected theirs. "Why worry about an egg?" he scoffed.

One day, while chasing a dream of riches in a distant town, Eron faced a challenge. A corrupt merchant tricked him into signing a debt he could not pay. Frustrated and angry, Eron felt trapped by his own arrogance. In a fit of rage, he clenched his hand—forgetting the egg was still in his pocket. It shattered.

In that moment, a reflection of his life became clear: his impatience, pride, and disregard for wisdom had led him into trouble. He remembered the sage’s words. The egg was his own life—fragile, full of potential, but easily broken by carelessness.

Humbled, Eron returned to his village, determined to change. He began to listen more, to tread carefully in his actions, and to reflect on the choices he made each day. He realized that when he treated others with kindness and approached life with patience, the world seemed kinder and more patient with him in return.

Lesson

Life is both a mirror and an egg. Like a mirror, it reflects your actions, attitudes, and words. If you are kind, patient, and wise, life reflects those qualities back to you. Like an egg, life is fragile—handle it carelessly, and it will break in ways you cannot repair. Therefore, treat every moment with care, every relationship with respect, and every choice with thoughtfulness. The way you handle life determines how life will handle you.
