Simon had always been a dreamer. From the time he was a child, he had envisioned a future filled with purpose and adventure. Yet, unlike most of his peers, Simon never found himself entangled in the whirlwind of romantic relationships. His friends thought he was being too cautious, too reserved. They teased him, saying he was missing out on ‘the best years of his life.’ But Simon was unshaken. One evening, as Simon walked home from an outreach program, he encountered a young woman sitting alone on a bench. She looked troubled, lost in thought. Something in her demeanor compelled him to stop.

“Hey, are you okay?” he asked gently.

The woman looked up, surprised. Her eyes were red, as if she had been crying.

“I just... I don’t know anymore,” she whispered. “I gave my heart to someone who said he loved me. But he left. And now, I feel empty.”

Simon sat beside her, listening as she poured out her heart. He realized that this was not just her story—it was the story of so many. People searching for love, giving away their hearts only to be left broken. He felt a deep burden, not just for her, but for all those who had been deceived by the world’s shallow version of love.

That night, as he lay on his bed, Simon prayed earnestly. Lord, is this why You kept me from dating? Is there something greater You want me to do?

From that day on, Simon committed himself to something greater. He decided to win souls for Christ. Love, he realized, was not just about romantic affection—it was about pointing people to the One who loved them first.

And so, Simon kissed dating goodbye—not out of fear, but out of a calling, though about marriage is in his mind so that he can handle over the mantle to generations.
